Description Grade UE05: £28,879 to £33,232 per annum Institute for Regeneration and Repair / Deanery of Clinical Sciences Full time: 35 hours per week Open ended: permanent The Opportunity: We seek a dedicated Histology Technician to join our team. To fulfil this role, you must be a keen team player, as this role will be essential in the smooth operation of our routine histology laboratory. You will become part of a friendly, hard-working team and may be expected to work to tight deadlines, supporting your immediate colleagues. Experience in routine histology is advantageous, but full training will be provided for any individual demonstrating good attention to detail, an aptitude and a desire to support customers and colleagues. This post is full-time (35 hours per week); The post holder will be required to work on site as the role is not suitable for hybrid working, but we do have a flexible work environment. The salary for this post is £28,879 to £33,232 per annum. Your skills and attributes for success: School education to standard grade or equivalent plus 2 years relevant work experience. Practical experience and knowledge of working within a research environment as well as practical technical skills. Competent written, numeracy, IT and communication skills. Ability to understand and execute laboratory experimental procedures following instructions or protocols. Previous experience dealing with scientific staff of all levels within a laboratory environment.
