The Pre-school teaching assistant will work within the fantastic Early Years Department, under the direction of the Head of Early Years. The key responsibility of the practitioner will be to work successfully as part of a dedicated team, to provide a high standard of emotional, social and intellectual care for all children at Little Acorns Pre-school, whilst ensuring their safety and wellbeing, at all times. The candidate should be kind, caring and motivated, committed to the role within the department. They should be prepared to work in all weather conditions, within our garden, mud kitchen, extensive grounds and woodland environments, actively participating to enrich the children’s outdoor learning experiences – which is a vital part of our curriculum.Main purpose of the job: Contribute to a dynamic programme of activities that meets the individual needs and interests of our children and the Early Years Framework. To build strong working relationships within our setting and wider school community Assist with ensuring that the Learning environment is clean, tidy and safe at all times. To provide exceptional care of our children To be committed to the safeguarding of all children in our setting To become a Key worker of a group of children, in timeSpecific Responsibilities and Requirements: To be flexible within the working practices of Early Years. Be prepared to help where needed, including undertaking certain domestic jobs within the department, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleaning of equipment, etc. To record observations via Tapestry (training will be given).Work alongside the Head of EYFS and staff team to ensure that the philosophy of Boundary Oak School is fulfilled.
