We’re looking for an exceptional HR Advisor to support the HR and work closely with business partners. This role will be a central point of contact to provide a full range of HR guidance and support to line managers and employees across the business in the UK. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office in Cambridge and occasional travel to our manufacturing facility in Ely. with a minimum of 3 days a week being based in the office. Responsibilities Supporting HR in all aspects of employee’s life cycle including on/off boarding, probationary meetings and exit interviews. Provide comprehensive and practical HR advice on employee relation matters in line with company policies and legal requirements, escalating where appropriate to a more senior advisor, business partner or employee relations lead. Working closely with HR administrator with onboarding activities e.g. inductions and difficult contract of employments. Providing guidance to employees and managers, and manage casework on absence management, performance management. Collaborate with wider team on Recruitment when required Partner payroll with the HR Administrator on all UK payroll queries. Liaising with Occupational Health and other external partners as required. Respond to benefit enquiries where appropriate and in collaboration with HR colleagues Supporting the HR administrator with updating the HIRS and ATS systems where necessary Proactively manage all right to work and work visa sponsorship licences. Attending formal meetings for note taking and acting as HR representative in relevant employee relation cases. Ensure relevant HIRS systems are kept up to date working with the HR administrator. Keep up to date with development in employment legislation and HR best practice General support across HR when required with ad-hoc requests, annual processes or project work. You’ll be willing to turn your hand to anything within the People remit that supports the team with delivering its objectives. About you To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be: Good understanding of MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and One Drive Previous experience or use of using HRIS and ATS systems Strong communication skills – both written and verbal and with the ability to build strong professional relationships Well organised and self-motivated Team player, enthusiastic, curious, collaborative CIPD level 5 qualification or equivalent desirable Working knowledge or experience of HR processes and up to and some understanding of employment law A proven experience of influencing / impacting people across multiple levels At CMR we’re building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace; what matters most to us is that you identify with our values and are passionate about making a difference.
