Position: Management Accountant Location: 4 days a week in the office based in White City. 1-day remote working. ABOUT YOU: Reporting to the Financial Controller & Group FD, the Management Accountant will be responsible for management accounting across our group. This role requires the ability to liaise with and build strong relationships with our business leaders. You will have the opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders and our leadership team. You are: • A part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). • Experienced in a similar role with a strong accounting skillset and previous staff management/supervisory experience. • Have a genuine passion or interest in the hospitality industry. • Resilient and possess a leadership style that emphasises leading from the front. • Eager to develop and be part of a fast-growing hospitality group. • Capable of communicating effectively and partnering with senior management and other departments. • Experience with using Xero. • Able to manage payroll and tender reconciliation. • Comfortable preparing balance sheet reconciliation. • Advanced Excel user. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES • Supervise and assist with the completion of monthly management accounts. • Produce board packs for monthly management meetings. • Supervise the bookkeeping function. • Reconcile balance sheets at month-end, including bank and inter-company reconciliations, resolving discrepancies as necessary. • Produce and post monthly journals. • Maintain fixed asset registers for clients. • Prepare information for annual corporation tax schedules and assist the tax team. • Produce monthly and quarterly VAT returns/reconciliations. • Assist with budget preparation. • Assist with statutory audits and audit information across teams and disciplines. • Translate raw data into meaningful analytics and provide insights and advice for clients with varying levels of financial literacy. • Regularly communicate with the teams to provide accurate reporting data and implement solutions to improve profitability and efficiency. • Take ownership of accounting functions, ensuring all books are properly maintained and internal controls are in place for financial reporting accuracy and efficiency. • Advise finance team on action plans during periods of limited cash flow. • Liaise with accountants to finalise year-end reporting or tax returns on behalf of clients.
