Our client is an SME services business based in the Wirral location. The role will report to the Directors of the business and will be a key role in driving business performance.
Job Description
The Finance Controller is responsible for managing all financial activities of the organisation, including financial reporting, budgeting, risk management, and compliance. This includes:
* Financial Reporting & Analysis
* Budgeting & Forecasting
* Payroll Management
* Audit and Compliance
* Management of a small staff team
* Cost Control
* System and Process Improvement
They are particularly looking for a candidate that can improve business processes, look at profitability of contracts, and make general financial and cost improvements.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Controller should have:
* Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the services industry.
* Solid knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
* Experience in an SME environment.
* Process improvement experience.

* A fixed term contract role of circa 9 - 12 months.
* Salary of circa £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
