Building Surveying Manager £56,784 Chelmsford, Essex Permanent,Full Time We are looking for a Building Surveyor Manager to lead our team in maintaining and improving CHPs housing and property assets.The successful candidate will manage a specialist building surveying service in the maintenance of all CHPs housing and other property assets andprovide strategic oversight of technical requirements of the Asset Management Strategy and implementation. What youll be doing Accountable for managing to a successful resolution all instances of property asset failure, specifically around structural integrity and disrepair by investigating, managing and defending CHPs interests in legal and arbitration cases. Monitor and manage agreed budget areas to ensure robust expenditure and value for money. Accountable for ensuring that the regulatory and compliance requirements of service delivery are met. Manage, motivate, develop and mentor team members, providing training where required throughout the business. Keep all appropriate databases properly updated to ensure that full information on cases are properly recorded and monitored, championing the use of digital solutions where possible. What we are looking for Experience in managing a successful building surveying team and complex cases to tight deadlines. Strong experience of carrying out building surveys and analysis defects, including writing reports with recommendations. Strong knowledge of housing asset management and building safety. Extensive knowledge of the Regulatory Standards. Experience of delivering maintenance projects and refurbishments work to time, budget, and quality.
