An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of secretary to the medics and clinical leads in the Community Forensic Services.
As a member of the administration team, you will ensure a high-quality and efficient administration service is provided to staff and service users. You will be required to have good written and verbal communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office packages and have experience of working in a busy office environment. You will be encouraged to identify and implement new office systems where required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide an effective and efficient administrative service for the Consultant Forensic Psychiatrists, the Clinical Leads and their teams for the Community Forensic and Liaison & Diversion Teams.
The secretary will work alongside other members of the administrative team for the Community Forensic Services including some reception cover as required and providing cover for the other medical secretary.
Job responsibilities
Duties will include providing a high-quality secretarial support service to the medical team and clinical leads, being responsible for maintenance of referral database and minuting a bi-weekly referral meeting along with all relevant administrative tasks related to this meeting.
The successful candidate will be: Highly presentable with strong communication and people skills, knowledge of office management and basic administrative processes, a positive can-do attitude, good organisational and multi-tasking abilities, self-motivated, and confident with Microsoft Office and all associated packages (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

Qualifications
* Typing/word processing qualification or equivalent to RSA/OCR III standard or equivalent level of experience
* Knowledge of a full range of Business & Administration procedures acquired through NVQ Level 3 or proven practical experience
* ECDL or equivalent
Physical requirements
* Requirement for sitting in a restricted position for a substantial proportion of the working time
* There is a frequent requirement to set up meeting/training rooms
