Position: Supply Chain Manager
Location: South Yorkshire

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 according to experience
The Company
* A designer and manufacturer of equipment in the sports and leisure sector
* About to move to new premises with plans to increase turnover by around 50%
Reason for the Vacancy
* A newly created position to free up some of the CEO's time to focus on strategy, growth, and business development
About the Role
* Lead the day-to-day business operations & manage the supply chain
* Join the Executive Leadership Team alongside the CEO and FD, taking responsibility for Supply Chain, Production and Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Warehousing
* Ensure all customer orders are placed accurately and delivered on time
* Ensure all products meet required quality standards
* Lead the team, ensuring employees remain motivated, trained, and skilled
* Liaise with 3rd party logistics partners to ensure availability of transport
* Liaise with 3rd party and partner manufacturers to ensure continued capability and capacity of supply
* Ensure equipment in the field is working as required and take remedial action as needed
* Maintain Health and Safety throughout the facility
* Identify areas for improvement and lead transformation projects
* Provide performance metrics for the CEO and Board of Directors
* Manage and control the Operational Budget for maximum efficiency
* Ensure all relevant records and documentation are kept accurately
About You
* A formal qualification to HNC level or higher
* Proven experience in a supply chain management role in either production and manufacturing or a logistics/warehousing environment
* Experience of importing and exporting products to China
* Good levels of numeracy and literacy, able to read and understand profit and loss accounts
* Good IT skills: experience with Excel is essential; experience with CRM/MRP systems is beneficial
* Experience of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing is very welcome
* Strong people management skills, a natural leader with awareness of relevant employment law legislation
* IOSH certified
* A solutions provider, not just a highlighter of problems
* Willing to roll up sleeves and get involved with whatever needs doing
* Customer-facing with first-class interpersonal and communication skills
* An interest in sport and leisure is beneficial
* Able to travel nationally and internationally if required (infrequent)
* Car owner/driver
