Senior Engineer - Infrastructure
Location: Derby
What you will be doing:
As a Senior Engineer, you will provide setting out/engineering control on site. Ideally, you will be based in or around the Derby area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the region.
You will:
1. Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
2. Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors.
3. Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.
4. Undertake material reconciliations.
5. Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.
6. Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.
7. Produce 2D & 3D site sketches.
8. Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works undertaken in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records.
9. Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming.
10. Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
11. Control and minimise waste on site.
12. Identify/assist in introducing new processes, techniques and innovations on site.
13. Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.

Competency Requirements:
1. Ability to work safely.
2. Read & Interpret data and drawings.
3. Confident with standard setting out techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred.
4. Flexible attitude to work.
5. Problem-solving skills.
Technical/Professional Qualifications:
1. HND (Degree desirable).
2. Relevant CSCS card.
3. Office 365 expertise.
4. Relevant experience.
