The Role
This senior role is crucial for the Towergate Corporate and International team to be able to perform and function more effectively and efficiently from an operational, administrative and compliance perspective.
The role represents an exciting opportunity to shape a new role as a key asset to our fast-paced team, working across all aspects of our business including Operations, Conduct, Finance and HR and liaising with our specialist teams in each area on behalf of stakeholders within our team.
A successful candidate would be required to have a problem solving, collaborative attitude and approach. Our work-ethic is demanding as we continue to grow rapidly and deliver exceptional results for clients, but our culture is highly collaborative, flexible and fun with every colleague working to support each other. The team has expanded rapidly over the past five years, growing from three people to over 50 and needs to be able to leverage systems and processes to enable more efficient client service, yet always remaining conscious of the bespoke and complex servicing needs of our Corporate and International clients.
The role is primarily based at our brand-new offices in Leeds city centre, with the flexibility to work remotely for a proportion of the week and occasional travel to our colleagues in other locations, especially Manchester and London, would be encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
* Working alongside Account Directors and Broking, Claims and Risk Management colleagues, to ensure the highest level of service delivery to our client portfolio.
* Review of procedures and processes and initiating training, improvements and updates where needed to comply with Group standards and Conduct requirements.
* Driving operational effectiveness and efficiency across business processes in line with our clients’ service requirements, team and Group objectives, ethical standards, Group standards, Conduct and regulatory requirements.
* Identifying and implementing potential improvements in the processes and making recommendations to the Managing Director, Client Services Director and Team Leaders.
Qualifications and Experience
* The enthusiasm, ambition and drive to succeed in a rapidly growing, dynamic and entrepreneurial division of Towergate and Ardonagh with self-motivation and proactivity.
* Knowledge, experience and a proven track-record in the Insurance Broking processes and procedures, including the Conduct, Operations, Quality and Regulatory framework.
* The ability to take ownership of issues, using knowledge, initiative and positive collaboration to find solutions for colleagues and clients.
* An understanding of Insurance Broking customer service, ideally of corporate, risk-managed clients.
* The ability to influence, negotiate and build strong stakeholder relationships at all levels.
* Knowledge of Acturis (ideally advanced).
* Diligent and detail-oriented, with truly exceptional attention to detail.
* Effective organisation, with the ability to prioritise work and deliver results on time.
* Dip CII qualification or equivalent (or a clear journey towards) is preferred.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel fluency.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
