We are recruiting for a very well-established eCommerce and technology services business who are working within the music and entertainment sectors. Reporting to the Technical Support and Platforms Lead, we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.
What you’ll be doing
As Technical Support Engineer, you will serve as the primary contact for client support, troubleshooting issues across platforms like Shopify and WordPress. This role demands strong web technology expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to deliver solutions. You'll leverage front-end and back-end skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, to resolve client issues efficiently. Adaptability and a willingness to learn are essential as the team evolves their tech stack. Collaborating with internal teams, you'll ensure high-quality, timely support and continuous improvement of client platforms.
What experience you’ll need
* 1-2 years of experience in a technical support or development role.
* Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTTP, SSL, DNS, and general website performance concepts.
* Front-end: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Back-end: PHP, particularly in WordPress environments.
* Familiarity with CMS platforms, particularly Shopify and WordPress.
* Experience with database management and SQL.
* Great communication and interpersonal abilities, both written and verbal.
* Excellent organisational skills including prioritising work.
* Ability to work proactively, methodically, and at speed.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
