It is seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridging Underwriter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and underwriting bridging loan applications, ensuring a thorough evaluation of risk and adherence to company policies. Your expertise will help drive our lending strategy and enhance our client relationships.
Responsibilities:
* Assess and underwrite bridging loan applications, including property valuation and borrower profiles.
* Conduct thorough due diligence and risk analysis on potential lending opportunities.
* Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to streamline the underwriting process.
* Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters and assist in their development.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and regulatory changes.
* Prepare detailed underwriting reports and present findings to senior management.
* Build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients to facilitate smooth transactions.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a bridging underwriter.
* Strong understanding of property valuation, lending criteria, and risk assessment.
* Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant qualifications in finance, economics, or a related field are preferred.
