Role overview
1. Act as the first point of contact for HR information and advice across the business, seeking advice from Head of HR or external specialists where necessary.
2. Provide line managers with guidance, direction, and advice on employment legislation and HR best practices.
3. Prepare contracts and develop inductions for new starters.
4. Support and advise line managers on interviews and investigations for discipline, grievance, and performance issues.
5. Co-ordinate training and development plans and evaluation.
6. Assist with maintenance, review, and development of company policy and procedures.
7. Support HR strategy initiatives.
8. Monitor and update all relevant staff records including holidays, absence, training records, etc.
Key Skills / Attributes
1. Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
2. Good working knowledge and application of PC skills, with experience of MS Office applications.
3. Ability to manage own workload to tight deadlines, including balancing, planning, and organizing multiple tasks simultaneously.
4. Good understanding of HR policy and practice and up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
