Health & Safety Manager
Our client is currently seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join their team in Goldthorpe. As the Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures across the organisation. You will be responsible for promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to identify and mitigate risks and promote best practices in health and safety.
Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):
1. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures across the site.
2. Provide health and safety advice and guidance to all levels of the organisation.
3. Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans.
4. Develop and deliver health and safety training programs.
5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and make recommendations for corrective actions.
6. Monitor and review health and safety performance metrics.
7. Keep up to date with relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
8. Work with external agencies and stakeholders on health and safety issues.
9. Lead health and safety committees and other relevant forums.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Health & Safety Manager or similar role.
2. Professional qualifications such as NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
3. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong leadership and people management skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is a plus.

Location: Goldthorpe, Barnsley, UK
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000
The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
