Job summary Please note, this vacancy may close early once sufficient applications are received We are seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join our Team at Marlborough House Adolescent Inpatient Unit in Swindon. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to gain experience of working in an acute CAMHS setting prior to pursuing a career in clinical psychology. The post is full time and will involve working alongside our amazing but busy nursing staff as well as the wider multi-disciplinary team, including two part time clinical psychologists. Supervision will be provided by a qualified clinical psychologist. The role will include supporting the team by gathering and collating relevant information relating to the assessment process, particularly collaboratively competing routine outcome measures with young people and their parents as needed. Under supervision there will be an opportunity to be directly involved in psychologically informed work with young people on the unit, liaison with family members and group provision on the unit. Main duties of the job Under regular supervision from a Clinical Psychologist, you will develop skills to support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within theunit, across all sectors of care; supporting consultation to other professionals and agencies, providing psychological assessment and brief psychological interventions. In addition, you will support the service in collection of routine data and assist in the development and implementation of service evaluation and audit within the service. Previous experience of the above is desirable. You will work with colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team and so should be able to demonstrate the ability to do so.
