We are looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in healthcare and to develop within primary care. The successful candidate will work alongside our GPs, nurses, and wider healthcare team to support patient care.
Main duties of the job
As a vital part of the clinical team, the Healthcare Assistant (HCA) supports the practice by delivering high-quality patient care under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals. The role involves assisting with both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

Job responsibilities
* Carrying out basic health checks (blood pressure, pulse, weight, height, BMI)
* Assisting with chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, IHD, AF, heart failure, hypertension reviews)
* Administering flu and other vaccinations
* Providing lifestyle advice
* Conducting NHS Health Checks
* Supporting infection control and health promotion initiatives
* Processing samples and maintaining clinical equipment
* Administrative tasks to support patient care
* Administrative commitment to support the practice achieve targets in QOF/LCS
Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
* Qualified in Phlebotomy
* Completed the Care Certificate
