Energy Consultant / Modeller
Location: Fully remote/hybrid; offices available if you prefer to work in an office.
My client is a leader in energy and sustainability consulting, focusing on delivering decarbonisation. They help organisations committed to decarbonisation achieve meaningful and quantifiable carbon reductions quickly and efficiently.
My client collaborates across energy, transport, carbon accounting, and data science to provide innovative solutions. They are seeking an energy consultant to work directly with senior leadership and the energy R&D team. The successful candidate will grow the energy offering, maximize the value of cutting-edge research, deliver this to clients through a trusted, consultative approach, and help build relationships across the industry.

Responsibilities will include:
1. Working on projects with the project director and senior leadership.
2. Delivering decarbonisation strategies.
3. Energy efficiency and heat modelling.
4. EV charging strategies and net zero pathways.
5. Preparing and quality-assuring insightful and impactful client reports.
6. Conducting and overseeing high-quality energy and sustainability analyses.
7. Sharing best practices and specialist knowledge with the wider team.
8. Developing renewable generation business cases, research, and expert advice.
9. Producing high-quality technical reports and presentations.
10. Completing and documenting thermal, energy, and dynamic modelling.
Requirements:
* Degree, Masters, or PhD in Physics, Maths, Engineering, or at least 1 year in a similar role/appropriate industry.
* Passionate about sustainability and decarbonisation.
* Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
Desirable:
* Data analysis skills – Python, GIS.
* Project management experience, small/medium scale.
