Finance Director | Gravesend | £90k - £100k DOE
Cobb & Jones have been retained exclusively to support in the search for a new Finance Director. Working closely with the CEO and SLT, the Finance Director will have responsibility for a small finance team, overall financial control and the financial direction and strategy of the company. The business is a passionate and reactive organisation that has adapted well to market challenges, whilst they have strong leadership from an operations perspective, this role will be crucial to continue commercial improvements.
Responsibilities: •Team management, coaching, development, continue to review structure and allow for business growth •Prepare and deliver all relevant financial reporting to the Board and communicate effectively with the wider senior management teams •Lead on all FP&A processes, including annual and monthly budgets, forecasts and longer-term models •Support commercial strategy through cost assessments and projections, support with tenders through margin analysis and SLA/KPI analysis and reporting •Provide financial insights and strategic financial support for medium and long term planning •Oversee and manage company cashflow •Effectively manage relationship with banks •Oversee and ensure all relevant compliance related to statutory requirements •Manage the external annual audit process •Take ownership of all company tax affairs
Profile: •Formally Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, QBE with the relevant experience can be considered •It is essential to have significant experience in a senior leadership role, minimum of 5 years operating in one of the following capacities: Finance Director, Head of Finance, Financial Controller •Exposure to a multi-site or multi-service environment would be useful, the company experiences a high volume of transactions and requires a small team to work at pace •Excellent senior stakeholder management skills •Proven track record in success – either in the form of influencing business growth or business turnaround •Can evidence strong team management skills, mentoring and development of staff at a variety of levels
