Clinical Specialist - Diabetes: A Prominent Opportunity
**Job Overview**
This is an exciting new opportunity to work for a well-established pharmaceutical company, covering the North East and Cumbria regions. As a Clinical Specialist in Diabetes and Dermatology, you will be responsible for promoting a portfolio of pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals across various settings.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Actively market and sell products to healthcare professionals within the NHS while adhering to the ABPI Code of Practice and Company Standards.
• Develop and implement a territory business plan using available data and support from your line manager.
• Collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and advocates to develop or maintain local guidelines for relevant products.
• Build and maintain relationships with local and regional KOLs, ensuring high standards of product and disease area knowledge.
• Stay flexible, as this role may require working evenings, weekends, and spending periods away from home to attend company meetings.
**Requirements:**
• University degree (or equivalent) in Life Sciences, Business, or Marketing.
• ABPI qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experienced pharmaceutical sales representative in Primary and Secondary care, with a strong network of HCP contacts and prescribing decision makers in the assigned territory.
• Proven track record of achievement and improved personal and business performance.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with excellent account planning and organisation skills.
• Ability to think quickly, respond positively, and demonstrate high levels of energy resilience, integrity, and honesty.
• Computer literate and experience of working with hospital patient protocol and service redesign projects.
• Experience of organising and running peer-to-peer educational speaker meetings, as well as applying for Hospital Formulary applications and success stories.
