Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist
Location: The Greater Horseshoe School – Devon TQ12 6RH
Salary: Up to £53,200 (FTE, DOE, pro-rata’ed actual take home salary is up to £28,766)
Hours: Up to 22.5 hours per week, 8.30am-4.30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only, 46.6 weeks
Essential: Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle required
About The Role:

This is a really exciting time to join our growing clinical team supporting the school. This post provides the successful candidate with an opportunity to help us develop the Speech and Language Therapy offer working alongside the Lead Clinician, Clinical Locality Lead and Head of Speech and Language Therapy.
We are looking for a candidate who has experience of putting in place preventative interventions at a systems level with a whole school approach at the forefront of their mind. The role will involve working collaboratively with education staff and other clinical disciplines to maximize impact for all students.
You will be responsible for holding a speech and language therapy caseload and with the full support of our knowledgeable Clinical Team, you will also contribute to staff training and consultation. Both a challenging and rewarding role, this position would suit a resilient and enthusiastic individual, with a creative therapeutic approach and the ability to make decisions, as well as manage their own workload.
In addition, you will provide information and training to staff, commissioners and other agencies as required. You may also be required to support with line management and clinical supervision of junior members of the team.

Whilst this role is based at The Greater Horseshoe School, clinical team members may be required to provide support to Fieldstone School (TQ12 1NH), located less than 15 minutes away and overseen by the same Executive Headteacher, as required.
Essential Criteria:
* Allied Health Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
* Registered with the HCPC and RCSLT
* Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
* Experience of working with children, young people and adults who have an intellectual disability and/or autism with additional needs (e.g. complex trauma, mental health needs, behaviours of concern)
* Experience of working within school environments
* Valid UK full driving licence and access to own vehicle
* Experience of supervision of therapy assistants and SaLT apprenticeships is desirable
