Role overview: To carry out the servicing and reactive repairs as directed by the team leader to the gas and associated systems and plant across a large multi facility site. In addition, there are ancillary systems and plant which are also supported by the Gas team. The candidate will need to become familiar with these items and their maintenance requirements. Particular emphasis on safe working procedures are required and the successful candidate will be expected to embrace these procedures in full. What you'll do:
* Carry out the service and maintenance of a diverse range of boilers and there related systems under the EMCOR contract.
* Conduct site surveys and inspections
* Respond to reported Gas Escapes
* Attend the training programs prescribed by EMCOR including additional requirements of the client due to the nature of their work.
* Perform the clerical duties as required by the job
* Provide the client with accurate information and feedback concerning plant status
* Be competent to identify parts required, obtain quotations and carry out necessary purchasing procedure.
* Work as part of a team to provide out of hours call out for which there is a standby allowance and minimum payment for any call responded to.
* Engineer required to join a gas team to carry out service and maintenance to various boilers.. Maintenance to compressed air main and Nitrogen/Argon plant. Must be able to work in a team or as an individual. Any other duties as required.
CCN1, Cenwat, COCN1 or CoDNCO1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, Met4, CIGA1, CDGA1, BMP1 and CORT1.
* Should have a sound knowledge of electrical and electronic fault diagnosis as applicable to the Gas industry
* Knowledge of BMS
* Basic IT skills an advantage
* ACS gas and OFTEC qualifications elements: CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, HTR1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TCPC1
* NVQ or equivalent gas or plumbing qualification (Level 3 NVQ in Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance),
* Domestic / Commercial Gas - Oil and LPG experience a plus,
* Gas catering or refrigeration experience as a plus, or willing to be upskilled,
* Experience on a range of commercial boiler plant and domestic boilers in commercial settings,
* Carrying out relevant installations, repairs and servicing in occupied and unoccupied properties,
* Knowledge of all aspects of mechanical services,
* Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills,
* Solid background within a similar role.
* Knowledge of Permit to Work System.
* Undertaken relevant Health and Safety Training.
* Some Knowledge of Building Management Systems would be an advantage.
