Are you looking for a change and a new challenge? Come and join our wonderful team here at Trowse Primary School. We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work with our Reception children from February half term 2025. The right person needs to be creative, committed and enthusiastic, and you will be working as part of our team with our EYFS children. This is a very exciting opportunity to join an outstanding Local Authority maintained school in a new purpose-built building. The role will be a temporary position (subject to probationary period) but may lead to a permanent contract. Hours of week, 18 hours per week (08:30–15:15 with 30mins for lunch, Monday to Friday).
We realise that getting the right person to join our team is really important; no two days are ever the same and you will be busy and adaptable. Ideally, you will also have the following skills and attributes:
* a passion for working with young children, showing them respect and kindness to foster their all-round development;
* experience of working with young children (Early Years preferable, but not essential);
* knowledge of the EYFS curriculum;
* an understanding of the teaching of phonics;
* good personal literacy, numeracy and ICT skills;
* flexibility, calmness, and enjoyment in working as part of a strong team;
* interpersonal skills to develop positive and supportive relationships with all;
* the ability to use your own initiative to support the learning needs of children;
* a sense of humour and lots of energy!
