What you’ll be doing as a Construction and Integration Engineer
* Supporting essential design and delivery reviews, identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
* Carry out health and safety audits to ensure relevant issues are corrected.
* Focus on the construction phase of wastewater projects, assessing and reporting project progress, rectifying issues, and leading the escalation process if necessary.
* Managing, identifying, and resolving snags and liaising with Operators and contractors after the takeover to handle defects, the aftercare process, and performance testing.
* Monitor, agree on, and approve Takeover tests with the project team.
* Ensure that the required project documentation meets our specifications and that the information for taking over is approved.
* Work as an active member of one or more project teams with one or more of our contractors.
As part of this role, you must be on site 3-4 days a week, 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate must drive and have a car - this role comes with a car allowance of £4,500 a year.
What you should bring to the role
* Have an HNC or above in an appropriate engineering subject or background in a similar role.
* Knowledge of health and safety on construction sites or an SMSTS qualification can be offered as part of the role if the holder is not currently holding it.
* Understand design, construction, and operations within industries like the wastewater sector.
* Have a background in project delivery and integration within the construction sector.
* Be confident in communicating with various levels of stakeholders.
