The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Team in Northwich as a Senior NAM / National Account Manager - Retail.
Job Purpose: To support the Retail Account Controller in a “hands-on” role to achieve stretching commercial KPIs through developing and executing commercial strategy aligned to customer needs, to deliver profit and increase shareholder value.
What you will contribute:
1. Delivery of annual volume, GSV, and margin targets for customers within the Retail sales channel.
2. Lead the development of the Retail sales channel business plan, aligned to company strategy and objectives, unlocking opportunities within the customer base to deliver against all budget metrics.
3. Lead the development and execution of the Retail joint business plans with customers integrating both customer and FRS strategy and objectives to deliver profitable growth.
4. Ensure total business engagement of a customer-centric multi-level, multi-function approach to the channel’s customer base as appropriate to each customer to unlock growth opportunities within the sales channel.
5. Lead the development of financial modelling with Finance and NAMs to make informed decisions based on 2/3 party margin management criteria.
6. Support all level departments within the business to execute customer plans within the Retail/Own Label and Catering product format in ambient, post-frozen, and frozen supply formats.
What you will bring:
1. Degree level education preferred.
2. Minimum 7 years sales experience including both branded and private label products in an FMCG environment.
3. Extensive experience of negotiating pricing and winning profitable tendered contracts.
4. Understanding of, and ability to use, data and category management principles to deliver mutually beneficial solutions to FRS and its customer partners.
5. Proven ability to influence both external and internal stakeholders to implement new solutions to drive profitable growth.
6. Ability to manage complex relationships acting as initial escalation point for buyers and senior buyers across multi-site customers.

Your normal working hours will be Monday to Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. as agreed with your manager which equates to 37.5 hours per week. We have a hybrid working policy with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
