We are growing our Installations Team to meet the ever-increasing needs of our expanding business.
To help us achieve this, we are looking for an Installation Operative in the Great Yarmouth area, someone who is prepared to travel across the UK if required, including overnight stays. It’s an exciting time to join our Installations Team. Based at our branch in Great Yarmouth, this role will primarily involve working on customer sites with occasional visits to the branch.
As an Installation Operative, you will work directly with Installation Supervisors. Teamwork is essential; you will need to collaborate effectively and communicate well with your team to complete tasks successfully. A positive attitude and integrity are equally important. On site, you will install pipework, assist drivers with loading and unloading vehicles, and perform physically demanding tasks, so a good level of fitness is required.
Health & Safety is paramount. You will need to adhere to safety guidelines at all times, working on construction sites with potential risks. You must manage your own safety and be aware of the safety of others around you.
Flexibility is essential, as you will participate in a call-out rota and may need to work overtime outside of your standard 40-hour week. Overtime rates are highly advantageous.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Promote and embody the company’s mission and core values to ensure a consistent approach to installations across the UK.
* Adhere to SHEQ policies and procedures, focusing on best practices.
* Manage your own site safety and contribute to overall site safety, completing installations in accordance with on-site RAMS and ensuring risks are identified and controlled.
* Work safely following communicated installation methodologies.
* Keep the site, yard, and workshop area clean and tidy.
* Assist with vehicle loading/unloading, checking paperwork, damages, and fuel charges.
This role is subject to a safety-critical medical.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Ability to work safely on construction sites and understand onsite safety protocols.
* Adaptability and a positive approach to challenging situations.
* Flexibility with working hours and availability for on-call duties.
* Willingness and ability to travel and work away from home occasionally.
* Hold a valid Full UK driving license.
Preferred:
* Construction Skills CSCS card
* National Water Hygiene Card
* Forklift truck operator certification
* Understanding of temporary/permanent pumping solutions
