Restoring meaningful and fulfilling lives for residents in our community.
When people have had a major setback in life, it’s our Community Response Assistants who support them to regain their independence.
After a hospital admission, some people may lose confidence or be unable to complete daily tasks, as they once did. Whatever their age, background or circumstance, we help them regain the ability, independence and confidence to do some or all the things they used to do, in a safe and practical way. Our Community Response Assistants support with washing, dressing, managing continence needs, assisting with practical hands-on support as well as giving verbal guidance and encouragement. It’s a rewarding role where you will see the impact of your support every day.
Enthusiastic, motivated and patient with a caring attitude, you’ll have a person-centred approach focusing on an individual’s strengths to maximise their wellbeing. In return for your commitment, we can offer you a rewarding career suitable for a diverse range of backgrounds and levels of experience. You may be a school or college leaver looking for an opportunity to do something valuable in your community, or someone seeking part-time hours or new career path.
We’ll provide a full, in-depth supportive induction programme along with continuous training and development. There are opportunities for quick progression and fantastic prospects for career development. Some of our past Community Response Assistants have gone on to become qualified Occupational Therapists, Specialist Sensory Workers and Registered Managers.
