The Healthcare Support Worker role is varied and busy as you will be working a variety of shifts including long days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Main Duties of the Job
It is essential that within your application you are able to demonstrate an understanding of the role and responsibilities, able to prove how you develop and maintain positive working relationships, along with evidencing how you would demonstrate our Trust values.
You must be a minimum of 18 years old to apply for the role and be willing to work a minimum of 23 hours per week. You must be able to commit to the standard shift pattern for this role which includes long days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

We will be holding an in-person HCSW Interview Day on 9th April 2025 at Millenium House, Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital, Aldermaston Road, RG24 9NA. The event will include a presentation, talks from our clinical staff, and a face-to-face interview. The session will start at 9am or 10.30am and will last around 2.5 hours. No further interview dates are available and you must be able to attend in person.
Important: this vacancy is for external candidates or HHFT employees who are not Healthcare Support Workers. If you already work at HHFT as a HCSW (permanent or bank contracts) and wish to change, you should not apply for this vacancy - please contact your line manager instead.
Person Specification
Essential Training & Qualifications
* Completed Care Certificate or ability to complete within 6 months of appointment
* Knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study and/or employment experience
Essential Experience & Knowledge
* Experience in a public-facing/customer care role or environment
Essential Skills & Ability
* Good written and verbal communication in the English language
