The Facilities & Estates Sector of NHS Grampian provides a wide range of essential services which directly support the continuous (24/7) delivery of high quality and safe care to patients, staff and the public, across the entire organisation.
Domestic and Support Services has an operating budget of approximately £30m and an establishment of approximately 1,250 staff (750 headcount) across some 70 sites and an area of 4,500 square miles.
This role provides strategic direction and leadership in the planning, management and provision of Domestic and Support Services throughout NHS Grampian and is critical to maintaining a safe and efficient healthcare environment.
We are currently seeking to engage a high quality, highly motivated, dynamic and innovative Head of Domestic and Support Services to provide strategic and operational leadership to the service and our teams.
Working in a challenging and changing environment, the Head of Domestic and Support Services will lead the team in the development and improvement of our services aimed at high quality, safe, and person-centred service provision in all areas.
In addition to the senior role within the Facilities & Estates team, the Head of Domestic and Support Services will provide key corporate support and advice to the wider NHS Grampian organisation and will contribute to a number of national initiatives related to facilities management.
To apply for this post, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Educated to Master’s Degree level or able to evidence equivalent experience with extensive senior strategic & operational management experience along with proven track record of success.
Evidence of continuing, relevant professional and personal development.
Substantial and proven experience in a Facilities Management role in a multi-site and multi-functional organisation.
Significant senior strategic management experience in a complex environment with responsibility for providing a portfolio of services
