Key Responsibilities: Building Engineering Services Expertise: Provide mechanical engineering design, project management, and contract administration for commercial properties. Specialise in areas including design to Stage 3 concept designs and beyond, pre-acquisition surveys, technical due diligence, and facilities management. Client Liaison & Business Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, developing a personal network and contributing to business generation and fee income. Attend events and represent the firm at industry functions. Project Delivery & Technical Expertise: Lead the design and management of mechanical services, including preparing specifications, AutoCAD drawings (preferred), and undertaking dilapidations and landlord/tenant advice. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and CDM regulations. Mentorship & Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting junior team members, providing guidance and expertise, and collaborating with colleagues across departments. Cross-Selling & Business Growth: Work with other divisions to identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities and support the firm’s broader business development strategy. Professional Excellence: Uphold the highest professional standards, ensuring work is delivered on time and to the highest quality. Maintain confidentiality, manage your own diary, and ensure effective communication with clients and internal teams. Key Skills & Experience: Qualifications: Incorporated or Chartered Engineer (CIBSE, IET, IMechE, or similar professional institution). Experience: Proven experience in mechanical engineering services, ideally within the commercial property sector. Expertise in design, project management, and contract administration is essential. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with design software such as Hevacomp or similar, and proficiency with AutoCAD (2012 or later) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project). Experience with NBS Specification Writer is a plus but not essential. Client-Focused: Strong business development skills with the ability to build long-lasting client relationships and drive business generation.
