This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse who wants to develop their skills and experience working in what is often a fast-paced environment.
To be successful, you will be a keen, hardworking, and enthusiastic nurse who is committed to providing a high standard of clinical care.
You will need to have excellent communication skills with patients, relatives, and members of the ward team. You will also need to demonstrate a passion for working within surgery, developing skills in assessing patients, recognizing patient deteriorations, and understanding how to address surgical complications. You will be working alongside an existing team who will support you in developing the necessary surgical and orthopaedic skills.
We are happy to support the successful individual with training to work with this specialist group of patients.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of individualized patient care, working in partnership with patients, their carers, and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the patient’s physical, spiritual, and emotional needs are met.
