We're working with a leading aerospace and defence technology provider located in Fife, Scotland as they look to grow their Circuit-Card Assembly (CCA) / Printed-Circuit Board (PCB) Manufacturing team.
This role focuses on maintaining and improving manufacturing processes and equipment performance in a high-reliability, low-volume environment.
What will you be doing?
This role will involve a variety of tasks, allowing you to contribute across multiple aspects of the manufacturing process. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
* Managing process and equipment performance throughout the product lifecycle.
* Programming and supporting manufacturing equipment.
* Implementing Engineering Change Notes (ECNs) and working closely with design teams.
* Using data analysis to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensuring compliance with quality and production standards.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
* HNC (minimum) in an electronics-related subject or relevant industry experience.
* Experience with at least one of the following processes:
o SMT placement
o Solder paste printing
o Reflow profiling
o AOI/AXI
o Conformal coating
o Circuit card de-penalization
o Specialist electronics rework.
* Understanding of high-reliability manufacturing standards (defence, aerospace, or medical preferred, but commercial experience also considered).
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA, or SPC methodologies is beneficial (but not required).
* Familiarity with IPC-A-610 guidelines and ESD protocols is also an advantage.
