About The Role
PD&MS Group are now looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to join our team in Grangemouth on a full-time, employee basis.
Role Summary
Provision of project planning and control support to Projects and other corporate functions.
Responsibilities
* Preparation and maintenance of Company project plan/schedule and interface with and input to, Client project plan
* Attend kick off meetings and gather data to determine schedule constraints
* Ensure project baselines are set and agreed by all stakeholders
* Liaison and interface with Client Representatives on issues of project planning
* Data retrieval and review pursuant to project planning status
* Undertake general project related activities as requested from time to time, within expected capabilities and/or training
* Attend and participate in Planning Risk Reviews
* Maintaining or bettering project schedules, as directed and within expected capabilities and/or training
* Input to ongoing development and improvement of Planning System
* Supervision, development and delivery of on the job training to Junior Planning personnel
* Establish and maintain ‘Best Practice’ for Project Planning & Controls
* Ensure compliance with Corporate Planning standards
* Communicate potential project plan/schedule risk to PRP
* Prepare, update and issue project plans as directed by Company PRP
* Interface and liaise with Client Representatives pursuant to project
* Maintain up to date knowledge on project planning and control principles
* Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner
* Adherence to the company integrated management system
* Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies
* Demonstrate and promote PD&MS QHSE principles and lead by example
* Ensure unsafe activities are challenged
* Adherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems
* Demonstrate and promote PD&MS values and lead by example
* Ensure direct report performance reviews are carried out within the required timescales

About You
Qualifications
* HND in a business or technical subject
Competence Standards
* Significant experience in the use of Planning software
* Demonstrable experience in the application of Project Planning and Control Principles
* Competent in the use of MS Office applications
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Industry experience, Oil & Gas preferable
* Experience in managing and developing others
* Excellent written and spoken English
