This role will give you the chance to build rapport and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders/customers. You will also be required to engage with various internal and external stakeholders/customers. You will need a level of decision making required to test the market and the ability to be proactive and reactive to situations. Once in this role, we will arrange for you to begin studying towards your Level 4 CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply), within a 12-month timescale. Study time and funding will be provided by DE&S, as well as additional training courses. Interviews will take place face-to-face at MOD Sealand and will commence in the week commencing Monday 21 st April 2025 (please note this is subject to change). Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team and the projects you will be working on in more detail. What you’ll be doing Provide Procurement support and advice using the appropriate strategies and routes to market. Obtain best value for defence by utilising existing Government frameworks. Manage tender processes and associated activities in accordance with MoD policy and legislation. Maintain and develop supplier relationships, resolving invoice queries, delivery issues and monitor spend to assess year on year savings. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with the wider Commercial team, drive continuous improvement and implement process improvements. Person specification To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria : Experience of the procurement of goods or services in any role. Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
