Position: Assembly Technician
Salary: Up to £17.26ph
Location: SK1
Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday
The Recruitment Group is proud to be working with a fantastic company based in Stockport. They are a leading global technology solutions provider to high-value segments of the food processing and air transportation industries and are looking for an Assembly Technician to join their team.
Main duties and responsibilities of an Assembly Technician:
1. Ensure assembly and build quality is of the highest possible standard.
2. Ensure machinery is fully PDI'd and tested prior to delivery.
3. Attend site for machine commissioning and breakdowns.
4. Be self-disciplined, proactive, and hard-working.
5. Exhibit a high degree of interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Work to deadlines and delivery dates.
7. Ensure production instructions and quality standards are met/exceeded.
8. Escalate any build anomalies to relevant persons.
9. Conduct on-site commissioning and customer training.
Experience/knowledge requirements for an Assembly Technician:
1. Principally responsible for the mechanical assembly of all sub and main assemblies.
2. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and pneumatic circuits.
3. Manage and maintain accurate electronic parts lists.
4. Carry out mechanical surveys, repairs, and servicing of equipment.
5. General engineering, marking out, drilling, and tapping.
6. Time served with C&G or modern apprenticeship.
7. Carry out work on-site or off-site as requested and agreed.
