Royal London has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accessibility Consultant to join our Design Team. You will be passionate about enhancing the accessibility maturity of our business and will play a core role in ensuring that Royal London Group’s digital products comply with our accessibility standards. Embedding accessibility into our design and development processes is crucial to this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and maintain documentation on accessibility standards.
2. Deliver training and provide guidance to colleagues.
3. Offer recommendations and assistance with implementing accessibility best practices.
4. Provide quality assurance for Royal London Group’s digital products and services.
5. Collaborate with the Digital Accessibility Operations Manager.
6. Support ongoing development of accessibility frameworks and guidelines.
7. Act as an accessibility subject matter expert.
8. Develop and deliver accessibility training modules.
9. Oversee accessibility audits and testing.
10. Monitor product accessibility changes and ensure ongoing improvements.
About you:
1. Excellent communication skills with proven experience in accessibility consulting.
2. Ability to develop and deliver accessibility training.
3. Experience in creating and maintaining documentation on accessibility standards.
4. Strong problem-solving skills related to accessibility issues.
5. Proven track record of conducting accessibility audits and reports.
6. Strong understanding of user-centred design principles.
7. Significant experience with WCAG, assistive technologies, and accessibility testing tools.
8. Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to accessibility.
