An exciting opportunity has arisen to come and work in a joint position within the 111 (2) Mental health service and the Darlington Crisis team. The role will be to work alongside the 111(2) service carrying out crisis triage and assessment and to support staff working within the 111(2) service offering advice, guidance and signposting. Successful candidates will be offered the opportunity to work within the Darlington site based at West Park Hospital.
We have posts available within our service and we are looking for passionate, skilled qualified clinicians to join us.
The team takes a recovery orientated, formulation driven approach which values shared decision making.
Main duties of the job
The team operates over 24 hours, 7 days a week, 12 hour shift pattern.
This is a band 6 post open to registered nurses, occupational therapists and social workers with current relevant registration with the NMC, HCPC or SWE.
You will receive regular supervision and there are good training opportunities.
As a member of the team you will provide a service to those individuals who present with a mental health crisis who require crisis triage and assessment. Applicants should be highly motivated, have the ability to act on own initiative and have sound assessment and written skills.

The post holders will be responsible for the clinical leadership of more junior members of the team, prioritising workload and utilising resources appropriately to ensure that service user needs are met.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Qualification
Essential
* Current professional registration with an approved professional body.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
* For registered nurses: MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education. Must be achieved within agreed timescale.
* 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework.
* Clinical Supervisor.
* Recognised sign-off mentor, clinical educator or equivalent. Must be achieved within agreed timescale.
* Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent).
Desirable
* Leadership or management qualification.
* Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area.

* Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients, carers/families and all members of the multidisciplinary team.
