Job Description: As a Social Worker in the Referral and Assessment Team, you will be responsible for completing initial assessments, identifying risks, and making recommendations for interventions to support children and families.
* Conduct initial assessments of children and families to identify risks, needs, and required interventions.
* Develop action plans and refer families to appropriate services based on identified needs.
* Work closely with children, families, and professionals from various agencies to ensure coordinated and effective support.
* Attend child protection conferences, strategy meetings, and court hearings as required.
* Regularly review cases to monitor progress and ensure appropriate interventions are in place.
Qualifications:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Previous experience in a Referral and Assessment Team or similar social work role is essential.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
