We are seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Manager to uphold our strong reputation and good CQC rating.
This role requires a resilient, well-organised leader with proven management experience in elderly care. Reporting to the directors, you will have autonomy in running the home, ensuring high-quality care, compliance, and staff development.
What We're Looking For
1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
2. Experience managing elderly care homes, including dementia & end-of-life care
3. Strong leadership, staff management, and problem-solving skills
4. Thorough knowledge of CQC regulations, risk assessments & compliance
5. Experience in person-centred care planning (ideally digital systems)
6. Expertise in staff scheduling, recruitment & HR procedures
7. Understanding of GDPR, health & safety, medication administration & dementia care
8. Lives locally to Ilfracombe or willing to relocate
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee daily operations, ensuring high standards of care and compliance
2. Develop and implement care plans, tailored to resident's needs
3. Lead and manage the care team, providing training and development
4. Build strong relationships with families, health-care professionals & external agencies
5. Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and quality assurance
