General Manager required for my client who works within the manufacturing industry and automotive side of engineering, based in Peterborough.
The successful General Manager will oversee daily operations and assist with managing various business aspects of the company. They can come from any manufacturing/engineering background but need a proven history of managerial experience, as this role will include overseeing four production managers.
General Manager Job Overview
* Manage the production managers and their staff within the Peterborough business, reporting to the company directors.
* Report company developments directly to the owner of the business.
* Oversee daily operations and assist with managing various business aspects of the company.
* Collate reports and act upon reports received.
* Accompany the company owner to various meetings.
* Take responsibility for actions from line manager, sales, and client meetings.
* Oversee all departments within the business.
General Manager Job Requirements
* Previous experience managing staff at a management level.
* 5+ years' experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
* Previous managerial experience or a formal management background (e.g., MBA).
* Ability to work independently when needed and possess good team communication skills.
* Based within a commutable distance of Peterborough.
* Full UK driving licence.
General Manager Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 - dependent upon experience, skill, and qualifications.
* Full-time position - 44-hour working week.
