Job Description The ideal candidate(s) will have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in DI (Ductile Iron) pipes or a related field i.e. GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) pipes, HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) pipes, OPVC (Oriented Polyvinyl Chloride) pipes, or Carbon Steel (in water applications) with a focus on infrastructure, industrial or water related projects. Candidates should also consider applying if they have strong experience in associated sectors such as valves and fittings for the above. You will be responsible for driving high-value sales growth, managing key accounts, and expanding our client base in these markets and as such the role demands a deep understanding of the pipe industry, strong Business Development and sales acumen, with the ability to build long-term client relationships at a senior level. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Sales Strategy and Execution: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding the customer base in the infrastructure, water, and industrial sectors building and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers. Market Research and Intelligence: Provide feedback to management regarding market conditions, competitor analysis, and potential areas for growth. Product Knowledge and Promotion: Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of preferably Ductile Iron pipes, or similar strong experience in Carbon Steel (Water applications), GRP, HDPE, OPVC pipes, including their applications, advantages, and technical specifications. Collaborate with the technical and marketing teams to provide customers with accurate product information and tailored solutions. Contract Negotiation and Compliance: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients while ensuring profitability and compliance with appropriate regulations. Additional requirements include : Strong understanding of the technical specifications, benefits, and applications of Ductile iron or Carbon Steel (in water applications), GRP, HDPE, OPVC pipes. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills and ability to understand market trends and dynamics. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to travel frequently to meet clients and attend industry events.
