As an Electronic Equipment Maintenance Engineer, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and maintain, repair, and calibrate equipment for the manufacturing and testing of High-Power Semiconductor devices.
About the job:
* Maintain analog-based semiconductor test equipment
* Fault finding to component level on high voltage, analog, digital and microprocessor-based electronic equipment
* Perform calibrations of the testing equipment
* Work within the 8 elements of TPM
* Commit to the continuous improvement & effectiveness of the Maintenance team
* Communicate effectively at all levels and regularly update the progress of open issues, also build relationships with all departments
* Use of diagnostic test equipment including the everyday use of oscilloscopes
* Measure high voltage and current
About you:
* Time served an apprenticeship in an Electronics Engineering discipline or minimum 2 years of experience
* HNC in Electronic Engineering
* Experience of fault finding to the component level essential
* Ability to read and understand circuit schematic drawings
* Have a full understanding of calibration principles and risk assessments
* Possess some knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Self-motivated, with a flexible attitude towards the role
* A positive team attitude with the added ability to work individually to get the work done
* Be able to deal with changing priorities and use your own initiative
* Due to the nature of the role, a flexible approach is required to meet occasional unscheduled demands
* Able to communicate effectively at all levels & build relationships with all departments
