Role Overview: The Finance and Operations Manager will play a key role in managing the financial health and operational efficiency of The Sherpa Group. This role involves overseeing day-to-day financial activities, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as managing operational processes & reporting to support the company’s growth. As part of a small team, the successful candidate will work closely with management and department leads to support both strategic planning and effective implementation. Key Responsibilities: Finance Oversee all financial operations, including invoicing, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable. With the Senior Leadership team, prepare and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and board review, including the company KPI report. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities. Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external accountants. Operations Develop and implement operational processes to improve efficiency and scalability. Support management in strategic planning and performance improvement initiatives. Oversee office management, ensuring resources and facilities are well-maintained. Manage vendor contracts, including negotiating terms and monitoring performance. Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and other HR functions as needed. Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. Key Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in finance or operations management, ideally in a marketing or creative agency. Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting knowledge. Experience in using financial software and CRM platforms. Excellent organisational and project management skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams. High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant financial or business qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or similar). Familiarity with UK financial regulations and accounting practices. Previous experience in a small to medium-sized business environment. Why Join Us?
