Role: Locum Medicines Management Senior Pharmacy Assistant Banding: Band 3 Location: Croydon Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until substantive recruitment completed Rate: £13 - £15 per hour Hours: Full-time / Part-time About the role: The Pharmacy team at Pulse is looking seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Croydon. This role is integral in supporting the provision of clinical services to patients on the wards Duties and Responsibilities: You will provide a ward-based dispensing service to streamline patient discharges. You will act as a vital link between the multidisciplinary team at ward level and the Pharmacy Service. You will ensure medication storage and security comply with national standards. You will speak to patients and relatives about their medicines on admission and optimize patient-owned medicines brought into the hospital through direct discussions with patients, family relatives, and carers. You will transfer medicines to other wards to reduce missed doses. You will deliver a strong pharmacy presence in a demanding environment. You will gain underpinning knowledge and practical experience in performing medicines management duties. You will participate in the general running of the department, undertaking the full range of duties of a pharmacy. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Holds the NVQ Level 2 in pharmaceutical services or equivalent. Hospital Pharmacy experience is essential. Desirable: Strong communication and organisational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Ability to work under pressure.
