Main duties of the job The main daytime clinical work will comprise of the theatre sessions - both accompanied and solo and with responsibility for patients. A placement on the intensive care unit for 3 to 6 months could be expected. The candidate would be given an opportunity to consolidate the skills in obstetric anaesthesia On call: There are full shift rotas (EWTD compliant) for Emergency Theatre (1 in 7), ICU (1 in 6) and Obstetrics (I in 8) integrating Anaesthetic trainees, clinical fellows and Speciality Doctors on the same tier rotas. You will be expected to rotate between them all, although you may be predominantly on one. Although this position does not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval for training recognition, it offers full teaching and training opportunities.
