Key Responsibilities
* Investigate Privacy Incidents: Evaluate and coordinate responses with legal and business support teams.
* Manage Data Subject Access Requests: Ensure timely and compliant processing of data subject access requests. Data extraction and compilation.
* Utilisation of the One Trust Platform: For data mapping and DPIA records.
* Data Privacy Impact Assessments: Evaluate compliance with privacy laws and regulations and assist with completion of these assessments.
* Develop and Implement Privacy Policies: Ensure policies align with legal requirements and industry best practices.
* Collaborate with IT and Security Teams: Integrate data protection measures into technology platforms and business processes, and foster working relationship across functions.
* Monitor Privacy Legislation: Adapt company policies to maintain compliance.
* Support Privacy Officer to provide Guidance and Training: Educate staff on privacy matters, including data handling and breach response protocols.
* Advise on New Products or Services: Assess privacy implications during procurement, development and launch.
* Engage with Risk & Compliance Team & Vendors: Ensure third-party practices align with the firm’s privacy standards.
* Monitor centralised mailbox: Be ready to respond or react to emails with requests and questions from inside and outside of the firm about data protection and privacy.
Your skills and qualifications
* Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT or GDPR Practitioner (desirable but not necessary, can be working towards).
* Experience: Previous experience in privacy, information security, or related fields, typically 2 – 4 years.
* Skills: Knowledge of privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, PECR), strong analytical skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment within a professional firm. Computer literate, not only in the use of Microsoft Office programs, but have a general literacy and understanding of proprietary software and cloud-based storage and services.
