WHAT YOU WILL DO
The key responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:
* Producing of all items, with the correct recipe card and procedure, correct quantity and of good quality.
* Delivering a fresh, high quality food offer for our members club.
* Working and assisting across all food sections in the kitchen, as required.
* Ensuring the highest possible standard of presentation & cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen (both in the kitchen itself and & back of house areas).
* Maintaining a clean and orderly cooking station.
* Showing full support to senior staff, the goals and ideals of the operation, working continually towards the betterment of our members expectations.
* Controlling the wastage and the costs of their section, and meeting budget specifications.
* Storing of food and provisions including raw material quality checks.
* Allocating duties to demi-chef de parties.
* Supporting and participating in activities, which may serve to improve our operations or the efficiency of the business.
* Keeping all H&S and Food safety documentation and reporting up to date including temperature records, retained & cooked, food logs, delivery standards and probe calibrations
* Ensuring that the kitchen, stock rooms are cleaned to a high standard.
* Assisting the BOH Manager in ensuring the kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any faults with equipment to him.
* Preparing and assisting with regular stock takes.
* Ensuring that, in general, all stock is secure and there is no stock loss from the Kitchen.
PERSONAL PROFILE
* Proven experience working in the Kitchen departments in a luxury / lifestyle multi-outlet food and beverage operation.
* Stays up to date with current food trends and best practices.
* Must be able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends due to the operational hours of the club.
* Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management and coming front of house to talk to members.
* A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.
