We currently have an exciting opportunity available to join our Property and Maintenance Team as a Painter based in Aberdeen. This will be a full-time permanent position and in return, you will receive competitive salary and benefits. You must have a Full Driving License and own transport. You will be based at Broomhill Park but will be required to work across other VSA services.
Hours: 39 hours per week
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday (8.00am - 4.30pm, with an early finish on a Friday)
Rate: £15.91 per hour

About the role:
To provide a routine and proactive painting service at all VSA’s establishments and associated services, carrying out painting and decorating work as and when required or identified.
Responsibilities of our Painter will include:
Carry out the duties of a qualified painter.
Establishing, agreeing and implementing a routine to carry out daily, weekly and monthly tasks in consultation with the Head of Business, Property Inspector and Asset & Facilities Manager.
Ensuring Health and Safety standards are rigorously met by all, whilst undertaking own duties.
Any other duties that may arise from time to time provided they are within the post holders capabilities.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers.
Experience:
Must be a time served painter or hold an appropriate city and guilds, SVQ or equivalent qualification in painting.
Evidenced experience of stripping wallpaper, applying paint finishing to both internal and external surfaces with gloss, emulsion, woodstain, varnish, primer and undercoat.
Wallpaper - both cutting and hanging.
Taping plasterboard surfaces.
Working knowledge of Health and Safety.
