ONE YMCA Charters Nursery, set in the beautiful grounds of Leavesden Country Park in Abbots Langley are looking for experienced Early Years Practitioners to join our large, friendly staff team providing high quality care and education within a stimulating, fun loving, inclusive environment with a big focus on the outdoors.

Successful applicants will;
• Work as a member of the nursery team, showing initiative & creativity while fostering an environment which encourages children’s all round development & delivers the highest standard of care at all times.
• Act as keyworker to allocated children.
• Build relationships with & encourage the participation of parents & carers.
• Work towards & achieve agreed key performance objectives.
• Respect and maintain confidentiality of all information received.
• Be a reliable member of a team, working co-operatively and with flexibility and contributing positively to the development of a team environment.
• Able to plan and organise activities in line with childcare frameworks that deliver high quality nursery provision
• Have a positive approach to the management of children’s behaviour
Requirements;
• Qualification in childcare level 3 and significant experience of working with children, or willingness to work towards.
• Good knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage and other curriculum
• Experience of working within early years nursery provision
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
• Willingness to undertake training in Food Hygiene and safety.
• Paediatric First Aid Certificate or willing to acquire.

Hours per week: 37.5
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (Shift work between 7:30am - 18:30pm)
