Purpose of Role
We are working with one of the UK’s leading compliance & electrical testing specialists to recruit an Electrical Tester. Providing customer-focused service that ensures peace of mind through surety of compliance.

Job Description
1. Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
2. Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
3. Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
4. Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
5. Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
6. Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Responsibilities
1. Attend team meetings to review performance.
2. Undertake EICRs in a cost-effective manner using your communication skills to liaise with the client's on-site representative to minimize disruption.
3. Undertake a wide range of electrical PPM tasks.
4. Undertake small installation works with a strong focus on customer care.
5. Cooperate with shift requirements and work shift patterns as dictated by business needs.
6. Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept and in order, task sheets or the correct use of Tablets/mobile devices.
7. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are read and understood prior to any work being undertaken.
8. Carry out point of work risk assessments as and when required.
9. Comply with all elements of the FM Health and Safety Policy throughout the delivery of all assigned work types.
10. Ensure all works are documented and a full audit trail is available for your work activity.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
* 2391 Testing & Inspection or Equivalent
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation/Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship or equivalent craft skill qualification
* 2382 - 18th Edition requirement for electrical installations.
* Driving license
* Previous experience in a similar role
