This role will help us to achieve this by leading a team responsible for overseeing the delivery of planned major works, assisting the Investment Delivery Manager in providing a complete, proactive, and cost-efficient works delivery service for the business. You will formulate and deliver projects within budgets while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and management of associated risks.
Responsibilities:
* Directly manage the delivery team to ensure effective project delivery.
* Manage projects, including refurbishment, remodelling schemes, component replacement, and major repairs.
* Manage the planning, execution, and closure of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
* Work closely with the Investment Delivery Manager to provide advice on scheme control, design cost efficiency, and life cycle costing for the organisation.
* Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including Construction Design Management (CDM), Asbestos, Health & Safety regulations, and COSHH.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation’s Asset Management Strategy.
* Deputise for the Investment Delivery Manager as required, ensuring continuous leadership and decision-making in their absence.
We need people who are:
* Experienced in leading large-scale investment delivery in the social housing environment or similar.
* Knowledgeable about investment project delivery, including associated legal and regulatory requirements.
* Possess a construction-related qualification (e.g., HNC or equivalent).
* Experienced in governance compliance management within a housing environment to ensure robust compliant operations.
* Knowledgeable in budgetary management of investment programme delivery.
* Knowledgeable of Health & Safety and legislative and regulatory requirements for a construction-related function.
* CIH Level 4 in housing or equivalent, or committed to work towards it.
* Have a full valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
